Routines don't have to be rigid, set in stone, or boring

~The Truth is- You Already Have a Routine, it's Just the Wrong One for Your Child's Brain!~

If you're like most parents raising a child with ADHD, you're not just tired—you're exhausted from the daily battlefield your home has become.

You dream of a calmer home where you're not constantly putting out fires. Where mornings don't feel like running a marathon before 8AM.

But what you really want? To see your child thrive. To have them get ready for school without repeating a hundred times: "Brush your teeth! Find your shoes! HURRY UP!"

To witness them voluntarily leave the gaming chair and maybe—just maybe—put their dishes in the dishwasher without World War III breaking out.

Here's the brutal truth no one tells you...

All those seemingly "simple" tasks to follow a routine? They require skills that your child's brain simply isn't wired for:

  • Starting tasks without being nagged
  • Switching gears when plans change
  • Getting through tasks that are boring (hello, homework and hygiene)
  • Thinking ahead (what do you mean we need the permission slip TODAY?)
  • Controlling impulses and managing big emotions
  • Remembering... well, basically anything you said 5 minutes ago

These are precisely the skills that the ADHD brain struggles with every.single.day.

No wonder you find yourself trapped in the exhausting cycle of remind-nag-yell-give up-do it yourself-feel guilty-repeat. And no wonder traditional parenting advice falls flat.

"Families with kids with ADHD have routines that are often chaotic and unpredictable. This can lead to increases in ADHD symptoms, as well as poor nutrition, health, and sleep issues"

It's not your child's fault.

And you are not failing as a parent.

Your routines are failing your child.

If you are like most parents raising a child with ADHD, you may find yourself:

  • Repeating the same requests over and over again a bajillion times
  • Often rushing around, searching for things at the last minute
  • Struggling with the morning routine and getting out of the house on time (kids are late to school or you are late to work)
  • Banging your head against the wall trying to get your kid to do their homework or brush their teeth
  • Relying more on electronics and screen time than you'd like, but it's the only time you get peace

With the right routine for your child, you can experience:

  • Less arguing, yelling, and power struggles
  • Easier mornings and bedtimes
  • Family time that is more ahhhhh than AHHHHH!
  • A more productive home: you and your child can get more done and enjoy more down time
  • Leaving the house on time and frazzled-free, actually getting to where you need to be on time

"I found this to be the most helpful of anything so far..."

Other things I've tried didn't give all of the scenarios and real-life application that you give. The videos are really helpful in explaining everything.

"It worked!"

I appreciate your ability to make things simple, practical, and organized. I have noticed my son responding differently already, he is actually doing what he is supposed to do without me constantly reminding him!

Hi, I'm Lisa!

Nice to meet you!

I have been an occupational therapist in the school setting for over 30 years and have had the privilege of working with hundreds of kids with ADHD.

I am a Certified ADHD Practitioner and Certified Brain Health Coach.

I could probably have a bungalow on a beach somewhere for all that I have invested into trainings- but I nerd out over anything ADHD related and love putting what I have learned into action to help kids and families.

Most importantly, I am a Mom to two now grown children (things got very real when my own daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at 13!).

I believe in using research based systems and strategies, but they have to be simple and doable- I know what it is like living the day to day challenges of raising a child with ADHD.

Looking forward to helping you create a happier home and skyrocketing your kid's success🚀!

You Got This!
